Follow the yellow brick road down to Central Christian Church and the performing arts ministry's free performances of The Wizard of Oz, which open on Friday.

The Wizard of Oz performances will take place on June 22, 23, 29, and 30 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Matinees will occur on June 24 and July 1 at 3 p.m. each day. All performances are to happen at Central Christian Church, located at 1315 E. Spring Street in New Albany, IN.

The show is free to attend.  Donations, however, will be accepted.  More information can be found at the C3 P.A.M. website.

The Wizard of Oz features Dorothy and all of her new friends following the yellow brick road in an attempt to get something they truly need from the Wizard.  Tin Man needs a heart, Scarecrow needs a brain, the Cowardly Lion needs  courage, and Dorothy Gale just wants to get back to Kansas.  With her little dog, too.

Unfortunately for them, the Wicked Witch, after Dorothy's house drops on her sister, attempts to foil any plans the friends may have.

The Wizard of Oz is perhaps most famous as the 1939 movie starring Judy Garland as Dorothy.
