Star Wars trilogy

The Force is still with us at Alley Theater, which will continue its run of Star Wars: The Original Trilogy in 60 Minutes or Less! this Friday.

Star Wars will take place on April 6, 13, 20, and 27 at 10 p.m. each night.  The four performances are to happen at Alley Theater, located in The Pointe at 1205 E. Washington Street in the Butchertown section of Louisville.

Tickets are $10 per person, but advance ticket sales are highly recommended as these shows may sell out.  Tickets can be purchased at the Alley Theater website.  Keep in mind, the show does contain language and some innuendo.

The Star Wars trilogy, featuring a young Luke Skywalker who learns the ways of the Jedi and fights Darth Vader, was a cultural phenomenon during the late 1970s and early 1980s.  Frenzied fans lined up (much like Twilight or Hunger Games these days) just to be the first to get inside and watch the movies.

Yet, those fans had to wait three years between each movie, which involved many actors and many special effects.  At Alley Theater, five actors will attempt to cover the entire trilogy in just 60 minutes.  Those brave actors are Scott Goodman, Valerie Hopkins, Kenn Parks, Chris Petty, and Tony Smith.

Concurrently, with Star Wars, Alley Theater will also present The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Part Two.  Those episodes will start on April 7.
