Coming to the west stage Sunday, July 11th at 8:45 PM, will be aclaimed "indie" rock band Spoon. They have been touring heavily this year promoting their latest release "Transcendence", from finishing up their US tour to Coachella to Forecastle with many gigs in between. Those who have been fans of Spoon know that they've been putting out some pretty darned good beats since the early-mid 90's and haven't looked back since. Current band members are: members Britt Daniel, Jim Eno, Rob Pope & Eric Harvey. They seem to have hit their stride these last 5 years with their latest endeavors charting in the top 10 here in the US starting with their album "Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga". In a world where popularity changes in the blink of an eye, they have found a way to stay relevent. Their song "Written In Reverse" from "Transcendence" has been getting steady radio play.
If you haven't heard ( or are unsure whether you have or not) any of their music let me steer you to their official web site for a little listen. Hurry up and buy your tickets to see them Sunday, if you haven't yet, here.
