tech-boot-camp-logo.jpgGet answers to these and other technology questions during the Louisville Free Public Library’s Technology Boot Camp—a six-week program to help individuals discover and strengthen skills to work, play, and learn online, beginning October 8.

Technology Boot Camp is a free, self-guided program delivered online. Participants access the Technology Boot Camp website from a computer with Internet connection at home, work, or any Library location. Each week the program website will feature a different topic: blogging, cloud computing, social media, photo sharing, and more. Easy-to-understand explanations build knowledge and fun hands-on exercises apply new skills. A series of classes at library branches will offer extra support, if needed.

DowntownLibraryExterior.JPGRegister for Technology Boot Camp, explore popular technology gadgets, and listen to talks by local bloggers and social media leaders during the launch event on Saturday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Main Library, Fourth & York:

  • Get a little extra help starting the program.
  • Learn more about new technology classes offered at the Library.
  • Listen to talks from local bloggers about what being connected online means to them.
  • Explore our Technology Petting Zoo, a collection of new technology gadgets including e-readers, iPads, digital cameras, and more.
