Finnigan does to Mars, deals with online addiction, and works with haunted house workers, among others, in the seventh annual Finnigan's Festival of Funky Fresh Fun this weekend.

Finnigan's Festival of Funky Fresh Fun will take place on Apr. 3-5 and 10-12 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances are to happen at The Bard's Town, located at 1801 Bardstown Road in the Highlands.

Tickets are $16 per person and can be reserved calling Finnigan Productions at 502-876-0532. Keep in mind that the show includes adult content and is only meant for mature audiences.

Finnigan's Festival of Funky Fresh Fun has been a successful showcase of short plays from local playwrights and featuring local actors and directors. The plays have a wide range of subjects from the serious to the hilarious. Sixteen actors will take the stage performing in the nine plays and one recurring vignette that were directed by 11 local directors.

This year's plays include: Nancy Gall-Clayton's Zimy and Zog Visit Earth, a post-apocalyptic adventure, Becky LeCron's MMC Intervention, which pokes fun at people's online obsessions, Rachel White's Where the Red Dust Blows showcases life on Mars as not being too different from life on Earth, and Eli Keel's Choke Room, which focuses on the psychologies of haunted house workers.

Finnigan's Festival of Funky Fresh Fun is the first show of Finnigan Productions's season. More information on Finnigan Productions can be found at its website.
