For those who plan their year by Abbey Road on the River, as so many of us do, by Wednesday we want to get downtown and see how the festival is coming together. This year, Abbey Road on the River teamed with Hard Rock, Gretsch Guitars, and WQMF to throw a pre-event party Wednesday evening. This event allows the Abbey Road fans traveling to Louisville a chance to get to Fourth Street Live! and get to know fellow Beatle enthusiasts.
Beatles Team Trivia is on the bill for the evening, hosted by Charlie Steele of WQMF and Last Call Trivia. The Hard Café is a fitting venue for the event; complete with fine fare, spirits, and classic rock n’ roll. Teams will consist of 6 or less. The use of smart phones will not be allowed, although team collaboration is encouraged. The winning team will receive prizes from Abbey Road on the River, Gretsch Guitars, and WQMF, including a guitar, courtesy of Gretsch Guitars.
The fans will start arriving at 6:30pm and trivia will begin no later than 7:05. Admission is free and open to the public.
