Some people do other, seemingly normal things. Dolly, however, will meddle in the musical comedy Hello, Dolly, which As Yet Unnamed Theatre Company will open this weekend.
Hello, Dolly will take place on Mar. 28, 29, Apr. 4 and 5 at 8 p.m. each night. Matinees are to go on Mar. 30 and Apr. 6 at 2:30 p.m. each day. All performances are to happen in the Mex Theater at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located at 501 W Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $16 per person. All tickets can be purchased at the door, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777.
Hello, Dolly features a person who self-admittedly likes to meddle in people's lives, often playing a matchmaker. Throughout this musical comedy, she will play matchmaker to multiple soon-to-be-couples, and those in her wake will find themselves in love, out of money at a restaurant, dancing, trying to get to the big city, and getting involved in hilarious antics.
Jerry Herman created the music and lyrics for the production while Michael Stewart wrote the book. Elaine Hackett directed the production for As Yet Unnamed Theatre Company.
More information on the show can be found at the As Yet Unnamed Theatre Company Facebook page.
