Trinity's Darryl Hicks  is the top sophomore in the state. The 6-foot-4 guard will have to sit out this season, after transferring from Shelby County but he will have a huge impact next season.

1. Darryl Hicks - Trinity

Hicks has scholarship offers from Arizona and Indiana. He is ranked as one of the top 25 sophomores in the nation, according to HoopScoop.

2. James Quick - Trinity

Quick is one of the top football prospects in the state but he's pretty good on the hardwood as well.

3. Derek Willis - Bullitt East

The 6-foot-8 big continues to improve his game. He has an outstanding jump shot and is improving his inside moves.

4. Larry Morton - Bryan Station

Morton will see a lot of action at Bryan Station this season.

5. Omar Prewitt - Montogomery County

Prewitt averaged 18 points per game season as a freshman. He is ranked as the No. 6 player in the 10th Region, according to catspause Yearbook.

6. Dominique Hawkins - Madison Central

Hawkins gets better and better every time he steps on the court.

7. Braxton McFarland - Tates Creek

With Marceluus Barksdale and Ryan Fucci back for their senior seasons, McFarland will be a role player this season. Expect him to have a breakout season next year, when he's the go-to-gut on offense. 

8. Mike Smith - Sayre

Smith averaged 19.2 point per game last season.

9. Lavonne Holland - Ballard

Ballard lose several key players from last season's 7th Region championship team. Holland will see his minutes increase.

10. Cameron Lewis - Ballard

Like Holland, Lewis will get a lot of minutes for the Bruins.
