If you don't want to miss out on the fun, now is the time to register for Highland Youth Recreation's spring baseball program. You can register NOW online, and the HYR folks will be at the fields Saturday from 10:00-1:00 as well. Opening day is May 11, closing day June 29.
HYR plays Baseball, T-ball, and Softball in the early summer. 2013 Baseball, T-Ball, and Softball starts Saturday, May 11, and ends Sat. June 29. Coaches' equipment pick-up is Monday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m. at Atherton High School.
There will be one weeknight practice each week. Practices are one hour long and begin at either 5:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. 2013 practices start the week of May 6.
The fee is $50 per person. That includes a T-shirt, team photo, and medal or trophy. Online registration carries an addition fee.
HYR baseball is for ages 5 and up. The player must 5 by May 11, 2013. Highland Youth Recreation is a recreational sports league offering Spring and Fall Soccer, and Summer Baseball, T-Ball, and Softball, for 36 years.
There are teams for girls and boys ages 5-17, and HYR is committed to providing a positive experience to benefit the whole person. HYR is an outreach of the Highlands Community Ministries, located in the Highlands area of Louisville, Kentucky, and has been serving the Highlands community since 1976.
HYR has always depended on its incredible community of volunteers, and this year is no exception. They have a great need for coaches, as well as people who are interested in helping with:
- Equipment (loading bags, inflating soccer balls, etc.)
- Fields (lining, maintenance)

Registration will be held on the Soccer Fields at Atherton High School, 3000 Dundee Road. Registration forms are available at registration, or bring your printed form (see below)
