Restaurants and bars along Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue will compete to make the best bourbon holiday cocktail this year as part of the 25th annual Bardstown Road Aglow.

Four Roses bourbon is celebrating its title sponsorship of the event with the Holiday Bourbon Battle. From Nov. 27 through Dec. 4, restaurants and bars will concoct signature holiday cocktails . Patrons can vote for their favorite drink by texting the name of the restaurant or bar to "22333" or by e-mailing the name of restaurant or bar to bourbonbattle@gmail.com

Participants in the battle include Avalon, Asiatique, Boombozz Taphouse, Ramsi’s, Jack Fry’s, O’Shea’s, Flanagan’s, Seviche, Lilly’s, Bearno’s, The Bard’s Town, Impellizzeri’s, Comedy Caravan and Big Blue Country.

Restaurant winners will be announced the week of December 6. The bartender credited with the recipe of the winning holiday bourbon cocktail will be rewarded with $500 cash, an engraved Four Roses decanter and a plaque for his/her restaurant.
