Humana Festival nears The End [Theater]

Print

The apocolypse is upon us, at least in the Humana Festival production of The End, which opens on Friday at Actors Theatre.

Performances of The End will take place on March 18, 19, 25, 26, Apr. 1, and 3 at 11 p.m. each night.  All shows will occur in the Bingham Theatre, located inside Actors Theatre at 316 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for each 90-minute, zero intermission show are $10 per person, although some shows may already be sold out.  Tickets can be purchased at the Actors Theatre box office, Actors Theatre website, or by calling the box office at 502-584-1205.

For The End, 22 acting apprentices and five playwrights came together to create a play based on the promise and peril that is the apocalypse, including what may (or may not) take place once it happens.  Dan Dietz, Jennifer Haley, Allison Moore, A. Rey Paramat, and Marco Ramirez were the playwrights behind the project.  Amy Andway and Michael Legg directed the production.

More information on the rest of the Humana Festival can be found at the Actors Theatre website.
