Dr. Seuss’ charming and poignant book characters are brought to life in the amazing Broadway Musical at The Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS). It's a rare opportunity to see the genius of Dr. Seuss live on stage in a musical format.
"After all of these years being stuck on a page, did you ever imagine you’d see me on the stage? Now I’m here there’s no telling what will ensue, no there’s no telling what! But I’ll give you a clue..."
So says the mischievous Cat in the Hat at the onset of this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganzacal. Horton the elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie, and all of the Whos of Whoville are seamlessly intertwined by Jojo, a young boy who is a thinker of strange and wonderful thinks. Dr. Seuss’ characters will be lovingly brought to life by the performers of the Youth Performing Arts School. The score emerges as a Seusssian gumbo of musical styles ranging from Latin, pop, swing, gospel, R&B, and funk. As each story unfolds the audience will marvel at how relevant and profound Seuss’ subtle themes are, making this musical one that appeals and is recommended for all ages.
