Inspirational speaker, author and personal development guru Iyanla Vanzant will visit Louisville next Tuesday, November 1 for a lecture at the University of Louisville.
You may remember Vanzant from her frequent appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show in the late ‘90s, but she’s been quite busy since then: She has written 15 books, including 2010’s Peace from Broken Pieces: How to Get Through What You’re Going Through, which details her experiences and life lessons in the ensuing decade, including her rise and fall as a TV celebrity, the dissolution of her marriage and her daughter’s fight with cancer and death on Christmas Day.
Vanzant’s Inner Visions International and Inner Visions Institute for Spiritual Development organizations facilitate and support personal development and spiritual evolution.
The talk, which will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Bigelow Hall in the Miller Information Technology Center on UofL’s Belknap Campus, is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Diane Whitlock at firstname.lastname@example.org or 852-6153.
