With a new album that dropped exactly 10 days ago, Kathleen Edwards is on the road in America, playing to pay the bills, much like she did after high school in lieu of college. For some time, Kathleen’s career was pre-determined, being the daughter of a Canadian diplomat, but she had other plans. Edwards’ classical musical training allowed the opportunity to play new and innovative music that included violin.
It’s Edward’s voice that entrances the listener; a warm and inviting sound with a clear tone that embodies a truth. Edwards’ stage presence adds to the experience of the live concert. Since 1999, Kathleen has used her voice and talent as a songwriter on four full length albums, under MapleMusic Recordings, and she released eight singles to warm reception in both Canada and the US. Her career is expanding as she is very well liked in the UK.
The show tonight at Headliners is one of the last 7 shows in the US before Kathleen heads back to Canada next week, and then on to her European tour in mid-February. Headliner’s opens the doors at 8pm and the show is at 9pm. Tickets are available here: www.headlinerslouisville.com and also at Better Days Records in the Highlands. If you are able to prove you were born prior to January 27, 1994, you can attend the show. Tonight’s show will certainly be fun!
