Be it applications, music, tv shows, or podcasts, Apple's iTunes store has plenty of Louisville-related material for your iPhone or iPod. (All links to applications will open iTunes on your computer (assuming you have it installed) and direct it to the iTunes Store.) Applications

• Hear Planet Lite: Wonder if there's anything of significance near you while walking down Bardstown Road? Turn on this app and using your iPhone's GPS, it'll determine what "landmarks, historic sites, cultural spots, nature areas, famous buildings, sports venues, recreation areas and more" that you're near and read you a brief description of them.
• Louisville: This application is a "complete street level map of Louisville, stored on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Unlike Google Maps, which comes bundled with the devices, it doesn't require Internet access, making it a useful application for Louisville's iPod Touch owners.
• Local Eats: Speaking of keeping Louisville weird, this dining app reviews local restaurants (no chains) for the United States' "top 50 cities" (rest easy Dapper Mayor Jerry, the Ville is one of them).

Music

• Jorge Mester, Karel Husa & The Louisville Orchestra, "Music for Prague, Apotheosis of This Earth: Check out our city's orchestra playing politically inspired symphony.
• The Muckrakers, "Lights of Louisville": Backstreet Sandbar called this now-defunct Louisville band's single "a very nice track that you can listen to with your girlfriend and fall in love over again." That's hot!
• The String Cheese Incident, "Live from Louisville, Kentucky - April 26, 2001: This exclusive iTunes recording has 24 tracks from the band's performance at the Louisville Palace Theatre.

Podcasts

• Lookin'@LouisvilleThe Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau's monthly video podcast "showcases Louisville's art, culture, dining, and attractions."
• The Louisville Merry Pranksters Jukebox: This audio podcast, which is in need of a new episode, features highlights from the local band's two decades of music.
• YOGAmazing: Local yoga instructor Chaz Rough's video podcast is "a weekly 25 minute yoga routine that will bring balance to your body, mind and soul."

TV shows

• "How's Your News?," Season 1, Episode 5: The kids from Camp Jabberwocky head to Churchill Downs, reporting on the Kentucky Derby in their unique way. (Single episodes of "How's Your News?" aren't available, but the six-episode season is worth your $8.99.)
• "John Razenberget's Made In America," Season 1, Episode 3: That guy who used to be Cliff on "Cheers" tours the Louisville Slugger factory.
• "Southern Belles": A reality show most of you've probably watched, justifying your indulgence in trash by saying you just want to see how Louisville is portrayed (at least that'll be my excuse when I download it).
