Kentucky and Indiana approved IBRA barrel racing horse show March 3.

Calling all Kentuckiana barrel racing enthusiasts and horse lovers, the International Barrel Racing Association is having a Indiana and Kentucky approved barrel racing horse show at Yankeetown Indoor Arena in Henryville, Indiana on March 3.

Approved races will be ran in the 3D format and include $100 added money. The classes are as follows: Open, youth, and master approved classes, 2D pole bending, and pee wee class for the youngest little barrel racers. Warm up barrels and poles start at 10 am EST, with the show beginning at 1 pm EST. You do not have to be an IBRA member to compete at this show, no nonmember fee.

If you are not familiar with barrel racing the horses and riders at this show will be navigating tight turns around three barrels, without knocking any down, in a cloverleaf pattern at high speed. The goal is to attain the fastest time in each division earning money and IBRA member points.

Yankeetown Arena is located in Henryville, Indiana just 25 minutes north of Louisville, Kentucky. Take Hwy. 65 North to Exit #19, then left on to Hwy. 160 West, go exactly five miles and the arena is on your right.

For more information on this IBRA Show please contact Todd or Robyn Adair at 502-663-1824 or Nat Stewart of Yankeetown Arena at 812-730-3759.

It's good to know there are other equine events in the area, other than ChurchHill Downs. Especially for horse lovers who are interested in horses not just for gambling.
