Kentucky Homefront is a radio show recorded live in Clifton Center's Eifler Theatre. Featuring Kentucky's finest acoustic music, and its best storytellers. Shows are heard on WFPK and other public radio stations across Kentucky.
First Hour
Carroll County's Clayton Dermon still plans to play engagements with classic rock and blues band, Coupe De Ville, however his main focus is as a solo acoustic performer. Clayton's show consists of varied selections from Merle Travis to the Beatles, from Stephen Foster to George Gershwin.
The Downtown County Band plays jug band music and 1920's finger-style blues adapted to string band format. They also play old time fiddle tunes and some bluegrass as well as blues from the South. Downtown County Band plays Appalachian Gospel, Mountain, and Old Timey Music.
Second Hour
"Let me just say right up front. John McCormick is America's finest English-style guitarist. His style is based on Graham, Fisher, Renbourn, Jansch, Jones and the like. He has added his own Midwestern warmth and affability to create a style full of gentle charm.
Keltricity reunites some of Louisville's best Celtic and Irish musicians who have played together for over 25 years, and joins them with some of Louisville's newest musicians on the scene.
Storyteller Graham Shelby rounds out the night's entertainment.
