Another exciting season of high school basketball is just around the corner. Here is a look at the top 10 teams in the state.

1. Jeffersontown

Jeffersontown got a a huge boost in the off-season when 6-foot-10 center Zach Price and former duPont Manual standout Tony Kimbro Jr. decided to transfer and play for the Chargers. Price, 6-foot-10 senior center who is ranked as the No. 72 player in the nation according to Rivals.com, played for Cleveland (OH) St. Edward last season. He will play for Rick Pitino at the University of Louisville in college.

Kimbro,a 6-foot-6 senior forward, played at Arden (NC) Christ School the last two seasons. He is a Division I prospect, with scholarship offers from Oklahoma State and Virginia Tech.

Also keep an eye on juniors Desmond Dorsey, Daniel Ross and Cody Russell.

2. Eastern

The Eagles feature four of the state's top players in seniors Remy Abell, Kameron Woods (pictured), Lyonell Gaines and Arman Marks. Abell, a 6-foot-3 combo guard has committed to play for Bradley. The 6-foot-7 Woods will play for Buler in college, whiles Gaines has committed to play for IUPUI. Marks has several scholarship offers as well.

3.Clark County

Clark County features several of the state's top seniors, including 6-foot-8, Western Kentucky commit Vinny Zollo and 6-foot-3 combo guard Robbie Stenzel, who has committed to play for Eastern Kentucky University. Also keep an eye on Jaylen Daniel and Travis Purvis.

4. Christian County

Christian County has won the 2nd Region championship the last two season and the Colonels appear to be the favorite to make it three in a row. They are lead by seniors Anthony Hickey, Donovan Kates and Veonte Lewis.

5. Warren Central

The Dragons are led by seniors George Fant and Jordan Shanklin. Fant, a 6-foot-6 forward who has committed to play for Western Kentucky University, averaged 15 points per game last season, as he led the Dragons to a 4th Region championship. 

Shanklin, a 5-foot-11 point guard who has committed to play for IUPUI in college, is finally healthy after being bothered by injuries the last two seasons.

6. Mason County

The Royals will look to 6-foot-8 forward, and Southern Illinios commit, Treg Setty for scoring down low. He led the team in scoring and rebounding last season.

7. Seneca

New coach Matt Lemon inherits a talented ball club. The Redhawks feature several of the top players in Louisville, including Kevin Shaw, Walter Alexander and Martez Harris.

8. Tates Creek

The Commodores feature two of the top players in the 11th Region in seniors, Ryan Fucci and Marcellus Barksdale. Barksdale has committed to play for IUPUI next season.

9. Bowling Green

The Purples feature one of the nation's top players in 6-foot-6 senior forward Chane Behanan. Behanan, a University of Louisville commit, is ranked as the No. 23 player in the nation according to Rivals.com

10. Scott County

The Cardinals lost a lot of talent from last season's team but coach Billy Hicks returns one of the state's top juniors Tameron Manning
