Louisville Gay and Transgender Support for Our People
NEW SUPPORT GROUP will be forming as an out reach to every person in Louisville. The support group will be offered for those that are living with:
• Addictions
• Depressions
• Abuse
• Loneliness
• HIV/ AIDS
• Any issue an individual may feel the need for support [Gay; Lesbian; Straight; and Transgender – every person is accepted and welcomed].
If you are living then chances are that you are going through some "thing." Whether it is with finances, or a sadness that is lingering, the SUPPORT GROUP will offer you refuge. No one should feel as if they are alone, or that their thoughts are not important. Unity in numbers releases the tensions and frustrations we build then hide from others. You do not have to feel alone through the storm. You do not have to feel you are rearranging deck chairs on a ship that is going under water. You do not have to feel as if you are drowning. There is a life boat.
The SUPPORT GROUP will be monitored by Bill Tucker and Amirage Saling. It will consist of every one sitting in a circle, with one person speaking at a time. Anonymity and confidentiality will be adhered to at all meetings. Names, and what is said, in the group will remain in that room once meetings are adjourned. Although the SUPPORT GROUP will keep a distance from using religious and Biblical influences during the meetings, someone in the pastoral office can be made available for you.
