Settling down is not as easy as one would think. Raleigh and May find this out in Gulf View Drive, which opens at Little Colonel Playhouse on Thursday.
Gulf View Drive will take place on Dec. 7, 8, 14, and 15 at 8 p.m. each night. Matinees, meanwhile, will happen on Dec. 9 and 16. Also, a dinner show will occur on Dec. 6. All performances are to happen at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mount Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.
Tickets for each show are $15 per person, and tickets for the dinner theatre show on Dec. 6 will be an additional $18 per person. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by calling Little Colonel Playhouse at 588-1557. Dinner reservations can be made by calling 551-8488. More information on the show can be found at the Little Colonel Playhouse website.
The year is 1953, and Raleigh and May, two Kentuckians, are settling down in Gulf View Drive. They live a comfortable Florida life, but the changing attitudes and realities of the time test the couple's love and are threatening to upend their lives. Raleigh and May could soon be forced into making uncharacteristic decisions.
Gulf View Drive features the local talent of Janet Morris, Grace Poganski, Kelly and Garret Patton, and Kristina Ramsey. Martha Frazier directed the production, which Arlene Hutton created as part of the Nibroc trilogy.
Following Gulf View Drive, Little Colonel Playhouse will present 2 Across. Auditions for the show will happen Dec. 9 and 10.
