Are you looking for some Valentine’s Day fun to entertain your little ones? Many of the libraries around the city have something to fill your hearts, doilies, and glitter fix. Break out the red, pink, fuchsia, purple, lavender, and violet. It’s time to get warm and fuzzy for February 14.
Starting this evening, Wednesday, February 6, head out to the Fairdale branch of the Louisville Free Public Library for their "Spread the Love" family storytime. You and your little lovelies can enjoy Valentine’s stories and a craft. It’s recommended for ages 3-10 and starts at 6pm. Call 502-375-2051 for more information. Saturday, February 9 at 10:15am, the Westport Branch is hosting an "All We Need is Love" storytime for all ages. Located at 8100 Westport Road in the Westport Middle School. Call 502-394-0379.
Saturday, February 9 at 10:15am, the Iroquois Branch is hosting a "Valentine’s Day Pajama Breakfast." Located at 601 W. Woodlawn. Call 502-574-1720.
Saturday, February 9 from 2pm-4pm, the Portland Branch is hosting Valentine’s crafts for ages 5-12. Children younger than 5 are welcome with an adult and they encourage teens to come help out. Located at 3305 Northwestern Parkway. Call 502-574-1744.
Monday, February 11 at 4:30pm, the Portland Branch presents a Valentine’s themed school-aged storytime with crafts. It is designed for kindergartners-fifth graders.
Monday, February 11, stop into the St. Matthews Branch and make an origami heart for the one you love. This is a teen-inspired event called "Shot Through the Heart"; for ages 12-19. Located at 3940 Grandview Avenue. Call 502-574-1771.
Wednesday, February 13 from 3pm-4pm, join in on the "Be My Valentine" party at the Middletown Branch. They will be making cards and munching on snacks; it is for all ages. Located at 10635 N. Juneau Drive. Call 502-245-7332.
Wednesday, February 13 at 4pm, are you interested in duct tape Valentine’s Day crafts? Stop into the Fairdale Branch to learn how to make roses, chocolate boxes, and more; for ages 11-19. Call 502-375-2051.
