Just in time for Mother’s Day, Looking for Lilith Theatre Company is set to open their latest original play, Becoming Mothers.
LFL first brought this collective and innovative work to the boards last year, in the form of a staged reading. The positive response to the reading encouraged the members of LFL to bring the script into full production.
“A mosaic of stories of women’s journeys to motherhood,” Becoming Mothers is a compilation of multiple perspectives of mothers, ranging from women who have experienced adoption, pregnancy, and fertility treatments, to those who, for a variety of reasons, have not become mothers.
opens this Thursday, May 9, and runs through May 18. Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors. A special Mother’s Day matinee will be held on May 12 at 2pm, with discounted pricing of two for $25. Tickets may be purchased online
or by calling 502-584-1205. They may be purchased in person at the Actors Theatre box office to avoid ticketing fees.
All performances will be held in the Victor Jory theatre at Actor’s Theatre, 316 W. Main Street, in Louisville.
