Louisville bands talk Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is Thursday. This is a time we will reflect on what we are thankful for while indulging in tasty food. Some of Louisville’s favorite bands share what they are thankful for and what their favorite Thanksgiving foods are.

A Lion Named Roar is thankful for their friends and family as well as gravy. You shouldn’t be surprised when they share their favorite Thanksgiving dish, “We're fans of any dish that has turkey in it. Oh, and gravy! As a matter of fact, just put the gravy in a cup so we can take a quick swig after every bite of bird.”

The Whiskey Riders  are thankful for “having a great first year, and meeting so many new people. Ride Safe!” This band's favorite food is fried turkey under the following conditions, “as long as you don't get too drunk and blow the neighborhood up.”

Blunt Honey is thankful for “music. Without it [music] none of us would have a reason to wake up every day. Happy Thanksgiving!” Peanut Butter Pie is their favorite Thanksgiving treat stating, “Peanut Butter Pie is for sure the greatest food of all time so most certainly the best Thanksgiving dish.”

Field of Kings is thankful for their family and loved ones they get to share the holiday with. The band members couldn’t come up with one favorite holiday dish. Laren Rapp (guitar, vocals) says, “I think it’s the combination of all the classic Thanksgiving sides that jointly create the perfect dish.” Tyler Stiller (lead vocals, guitar) loves corn casserole, and I (violinist) find this conundrum for the best Thanksgiving food a tossup between cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Field of Kings is currently surveying fans on their favorite food. Go vote for your favorite now!

Adam Bibelhauser from Relic is thankful for his twin brother, Aaron. His favorite Thanksgiving food is yams.

Quiet Hollers share their favorite foods and what they are thankful for. Adam Buntain (guitarist) says his favorite food is his mom's cornbread stuffing. Buntain is thankful for his family and friends. Ryan Scott (bassist) lists his favorite food as homemade stuff. Scott is thankful for, "Everything I've come back for in Kentucky!" Aaron West (violinist) says Mountain Oysters are his favorite Thanksgiving food and is also thankful for Mountain Oysters. Shadwick Wilde, Singer/Guitarist, says his favorite Thanksgiving food are tacos. Wilde is thankful for his awesome bandmates.

Let’s all have a wonderful and yummy Thanksgiving this year!
