For 71 seasons, the Louisville Chorus has raised the roof of this town with their incredible voices. That's longer than the opera, ballet and theater in the area. They have filmed concerts for EWTN, the largest religious media network, and have recorded music for Hollywood movies. Their music spans pops, folk, holiday, children-oriented, Broadway, and even bluegrass.
And, you have the opportunity to catch them Friday, July 2nd, at the Beargrass Christian Church for their 6th annual "Fanfare for the 4th" concert.
It's a multimedia choral cinema presentation of the founding, expansion, preeminence, and refinement of America. They promise it will be an evening of stirring patriotic songs and visuals.
If you're looking for something patriotic to do this weekend that still leaves you time to cookout with friends and family, and catch some fireworks on sunday night, this would be the best way to kick off your Independence Day weekend!
The concert is July 2nd, and starts at 7:30pm. Beargrass Christian Church is located at 4100 Shelbyville Rd @ Browns Lane.
Tickets are $18 for general admission, $15 for seniors, and $6 for students. Call 502.968.6300 to charge by phone, or with questions.
