Kentucky author, David Dominé, is featured in the travel section of the October issue of Southern Living magazine. Dominé is pictured leading one of his weekly ghost tours through Old Louisville, a historic Victorian neighborhood filled with beautiful, spooky old houses.
Published by McClanahan Publishing House, Inc., Ghosts of Old Louisville, haunted the Louisville Area Bestsellers Chart and continues to be popular along with his other books, Phantoms of Old Louisville and Adventures in New Kentucky Cooking, his first foray into the cooking/recipes genre as the Bluegrass Peasant.
His eerie stories have appealed to book buyers and his tours are an offshoot of his stories. "David entertains, telling about his own experiences in his former home, which is on the tour. There he dealt with an apparition named Lucy, who moved plates and dishes in the dining room," says the article.
"The largest Victorian neighborhood on the National Register, it bursts with nearly every example of Victorian architecture imaginable. And it has more than one tale to tell of a past that may not have yet passed.. His prose is so engaging . Dominé's book is a well-deserved and long-needed addition to the storied history of one of the country's most remarkable Victorian neighborhoods." Courier Journal, Louisville, KY.
Dominé will be in downtown Louisville autographing his books on Thursday, October 30 from noon until 2 pm at Borders Books & Music on Fourth Street.
