Azar Fafisi (The Republic of Imagination: America in Three Books)

Jonathan Eig (The Birth of the Pill: How Four Crusaders Reinvented Sex and Launched a Revolution)

All of the author events are free, but require an online ticket reservation.

Friday, August 15

Head to a baby storytime or preschool storytime this morning at the Main Library downtown. Baby storytime is at 9:15am and Preschool storytime is at 10am. Read more about library programs for younger ones here or see this link for more information about area libraries.

The Main Library is located at 301 York Street. Call 502-574-1611 for more information.

Saturday, August 16

Want to learn a little bit more about uploading and editing your digital photos? The Jeffersonville Township Public Library is hosting a Managing Digital Photos program from 1:30-3:30pm. There are openings; the class will be held in the Gates Computer Lab.

The Jeffersonville Library is located at 211 East Court Avenue. Call 812-285-8600 for more information.

Sunday, August 17

Head out to the Southwest Regional Library for a computer lesson; appointments are needed. While you’re out that way, stop by the new library under construction. It is located at 9725 Dixie Highway. I suggest grabbing a treat at Valley Dairy Freeze as well.
