Louisville Library Life: Literary Things To Do

Libraries across Kentuckiana have a lot going on, so this weekend’s library events roundup is being extended a few days.

Saturday, August 9, various times

The Louisville Free Public Library’s summer reading program for children and teens comes to an end on August 9; many of the library locations are having summer reading finales. Check this listing for specifics.

Jeffersonville Township Public Library is once again hosting their monthly family movie time from 12-2 p.m. The movie is a G or PG film suitable for families.

Sunday, August 10, 1-4 p.m.

Okay, so it’s not technically a library event, but it is a literary event! It’s Carmichael’s Kids Bookstore grand opening celebration and street party. Does anyone else feel like it’s a scene out of “You’ve Got Mail”? Love that Louisville now has its own children’s bookstore! See more about the event here.
