  • "Louisville leaders sought to assure upset Rubbertown-area residents Monday night that remedies are forthcoming soon for what many believe is an inadequate warning system for incidents like last week's deadly chemical plant explosion. More than 200 residents packed the Southwick Community Center, with many complaining they were not properly notified after the March 21 explosion and fire that fatally injured two workers at Carbide Industries on Bells Lane." [Courier-Journal]
