  • "In 2004, Metro Councilpeople Hal Heiner, R-19, Madonna Flood, D-24, Bob Henderson, D-14, and then-councilwoman Julie Raque Adams, R-18, sought to protect the freshly minted Metro Louisville-Jefferson County from the socioeconomic evils of nipples, vaginas  and the effects of ZZ Top on those body parts with an ordinance that would make it illegal for strippers to actually strip. Under the new law, 'adult entertainers' would not be allowed to perform while fully nude, and instead must  wear nipple-burqas, aka pasties. The ordinance’s constitutionality was challenged by a consortium of Jefferson County strip clubs, and the case made it all the way to the Kentucky Supreme Court. Last week, the ruling came down in Metro’s (Victorian) favor, and the ordinance will go into effect within 30 days." [LEO Weekly]
