  • "Republican U.S. Senate nominee Rand Paul denied on Tuesday trying to kidnap a woman and force her to use illegal drugs while attending Baylor University in the early 1980s. The denial came a day after GQ published on its Web site an anonymous woman’s allegation that Paul and a classmate blindfolded and tied her up, took her to their apartment, tried to force her to use marijuana and made her bow down to a god known as 'Aqua Buddha.' Appearing on the Neil Cavuto show on Fox News, Paul said the article was 'outrageous and ridiculous.' He said the allegation that he kidnapped the woman and forced her to use drugs was 'absolutely untrue' and worthy of a libel lawsuit." [Bluegrass Politics]

  • "A proposal for a CVS pharmacy at Bardstown Road and Douglass Boulevard is on hold, and there's no word on when it will be reactivated, the architect working with CVS says." [Courier-Journal]
  • "The uproar over 84 WHAS radio personality Mandy Connell calling President Barack Obama “a young half-breed man” has subsided, but it seems those racially insensitive comments may not have been the first the conservative host has used." [LEO Weekly]
