  • "The father-in-law of Republican gubernatorial candidate David Williams has contributed $1.5 million more to a political committee that is paying for most of the broadcast advertising advocating Williams’ election. Terry Stephens, a Russell Springs businessman, gave $1.5 million on Oct. 14 to Restoring America Inc., bringing to nearly $4 million the amount he has given to outside groups supporting Williams this fall." [Courier-Journal]
  • "The Commission on Presidential Debates has again chosen Danville’s Centre College to host a debate between the vice-presidential nominees. The commission announced today that the 2012 event will be held October 11 at the school’s Norton Center for the Arts. [WFPL]
