  • "Members of the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors sold 1,137 houses and condos in June, a 23 percent drop from a year earlier. It marks the 12th straight month that the group’s sales have declined from year-earlier levels." [Courier-Journal]
  • "The Kentucky Republican Party accused Democratic Gov. Steve Beshear on Monday of “lavish and selfish spending” by use of the state aircraft while Kentuckians suffer in a poor economy. The GOP issued a news release and released a web video, noting that Beshear used a state plane to take his family to this year’s NCAA Final Four basketball tournament in Houston and used a state helicoper to get to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at the Kentucky Speedway." [Bluegrass Politics]
  • "Officials with Insight Communications remain tight-lipped about the company’s potential sale. The company put itself up for auction in March. The Wall Street Journal cites sources close to the deal who say final bids for the company have come in at around $3 billion and potential buyers include Time Warner Cable, midwestern cable provider Mediacom and the Colorado-based WideOpenWest."
