- "They knew it was coming, but Jefferson County educators were frustrated and disappointed by Wednesday’s announcement that five more district schools had been selected for state-imposed overhauls because of poor academic performance. The five middle schools — Olmsted Academy North, Thomas Jefferson, Westport, Stuart and Myers — were among 19 across the state selected by the Kentucky Department of Education because their reading and math scores on last spring’s standardized tests were among the lowest in the state." - "Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino had strong words for Big East defectors Syracuse and Pittsburgh Wednesday in Manhattan at the league's annual media day. Unfortunately for him, he chose the wrong analogy to make his point. 'My problem is not them leaving,' he said. 'My problem is you did it in 48 hours. Don't run away with a girl after one date when you've been dating someone else for three or four years. You've been dating this woman for 30 years, show a little respect.' This is the same Pitino who was embroiled in a scandal before last season for cheating on his wife of 30 years. The woman with whom he had the encounter, Karen Sypher, was sentenced to seven years in prison for extortion after she demanded $10 million from Pitino." [New York Daily News]

Rick Pitino
Excuse me, but is this the same Rick Pitino that keep his well paying job at University of Louisville? Kicking teams to the streets? Is this the same Pitino that was embroiled in a scandal with the encounter Karen Sypher, and sent her to prison? It took Rick Pitino to prove what I've been saying about Louisville for a long time. People like that with all high paying jobs, will get by with WHATEVER they want to do. PAY OR BUY WHATEVER.
