"Within hours after the media began reporting Wednesday that University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari would host a $1,000-a-person fund-raiser at his Lexington home for Gov. Steve Beshear, Calipari changed his mind." [Bluegrass Politics]
"Today Mayor Jerry Abramson unveiled improvements to the city’s website that his administration hopes will make it easier and faster for citizens to connect with Metro government services. The changes include an improved way to search the city’s site using the popular Google search engine, and offer options ranging from animal licensing, to garbage pickup and getting a police accident report. The web design is better organized than the previous version, and is now available in the seven most frequently spoken languages in Louisville." It’s a shame--but no surprise--that the outgoing Mayor Abramson’s image is all over this site, necessitating tax payers to shell out for a new site in just a few months when he’s out office.
