  • "This afternoon the Louisville Metro Council voted unanimously in a 17-0 vote to deny the effort by Councilwoman Judy Green’s attorney to delay her expulsion trial, which is set to begin on September 12. While Green’s attorney, Derwin Webb, insists that Green has a recent illness that prevents her from either preparing for her case or attending it, the Council did not see enough evidence to allow another delay in the already long-delayed trial." • "The Louisville Metro Health Department is making some adjustments to the letter system it uses grade sanitary conditions at the city’s restaurants and other food facilities. The changes go into effect September 1st. Department environmental health administrator Connie Mendel says places that receive an inspection score of 85 or above with no critical violations will still receive an 'A' grade." [WFPL]
