  • "Three Louisville strip clubs have been cited for not being properly licensed under the adult entertainment ordinance the city started to enforce about a month ago. PT's Showclub on East Market Street and the Green Light Lounge and Bottoms Up clubs, both on Seventh Street Road, received citations in mid-March after Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control officers discovered during their initial investigation of whether clubs were complying with the ordinance that those clubs were not properly licensed, said Jim Mims, director of the city's Department of Codes and Regulations, which oversees enforcement of the ordinance." • "Zenyatta’s racing manager Dottie Ingordo Shirreffs wrote on Zenyatta’s Web site Tuesday that a recheck by officials at Lane’s End, where she is stabled, revealed she had a miscarriage." [Washington Post]
  • "My Morning Jacket will release its highly anticipated new album, 'Circuital,' on May 31 through ATO Records. The Louisville band’s sixth album was recorded right here in the Derby city at a local church gymnasium, which MMJ transformed into a makeshift studio. They set up a circle — one reason for the album title, according to Rolling Stone magazine — and recorded the basic tracks live, sometimes." [My Morning Jacket]
