  • "Once the darling of Central Kentucky environmentalists (you know, the folks he owes his 600-vote victory last year to), Rep. Ben Chandler has made a string of anti-environmental regulation votes since the beginning of the year. And today was the cherry on top, as he voted (one of 13 Democrats) to approve the Whitfield amendment to the TRAIN Act, which blocks the Environmental Protection Agency’s regulations on power plant emissions of mercury." [LEO Weekly]
  • "Mired in an ongoing legal battle, 732 Social has shut down. In May, local foodies were surprised at the news that the popular East Market Street eatery had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. At the time, chef/owner Jayson Lewellyn stated that the filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court was aimed at preventing 732 Social from closing amid a leasing dispute with the Green Building, its home since opening in 2009."
