Katie Carpenter from the American Printing House for the Blind will join us to share the story of Mary Ingalls. Mary was made famous through her sister Laura’s series of “Little House” books and the NBC television series from 1974-82. Mary lost her sight at the age of 14, and went on to college at the Iowa College for the Blind and became a writer like her sister. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a temporary exhibit about Mary and hear an audio program about her life, along with readings of her poetry. Sponsored by the Carnegie Center, Inc.
