Brooke White’s 13,000 square feet of Flame Run’s Blown Glass Studio is every glass artist dream. It is inviting and inspiring; you can feel energy there and the enthusiasm that Jake exuberates when he gives the education and directions in blowing the glass in absolutely fantastic.
The Gallery itself hosts works of Glass Art in many forms, by resident artist and national talents, all for sale at very reasonable prices. The HotShop itself is where you will see glass transformed into beauty, of you can try your hand at this timeless work of art.
Hot glass demonstrations are available, studio and gallery tour, community classes and lessons and special event. The day I was there my grandsons made a blown glass pumpkin. They were very excited and Flame Run is very good with the children, teaching them ever step, answering every question and taking ever safety precaution available and necessary. Jake did a wonderful job with them and I was very pleased with his patience and would take all my grandchildren back to make another blown glass ornament. We made ours on Saturday, pick them up on Monday; they have to cook in the oven for a while and cool…my grandsons were ok with that. Speaking of ornaments…
For the season includes Flame Run is offering blown glass Christmas Ornaments and Snowmen. They offer a variety of colors. Friday through Sunday, beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving, make your own Ornament and Snowman - Ornaments and Snowmen are $40.00
