The Kentucky Derby and Maxim Magazine have many things in common: fashion, celebrities and a reputation for great parties. This year, the two shall meet when Maxim brings sexy to Louisville's Mellwood Art Center on Derby Eve.
Over the last decade, Maxim has held a bash to celebrate the Super Bowl that has become the hottest ticket in the Lombardi Trophy's host city. This year marks the first time Maxim has taken its proven party experience to different national events beyond the National Football League with fetes at Derby and last month's Masters Golf Tournament.
The 600 Derby partiers will be treated to a 40-foot-long red carpet teeming with celebrities and paparazzi (including your humble and sexy correspondent) They will enjoy Derby-inspired cocktails by Evan Williams Bourbon, Lunazul Tequila, and Red Bull and, no doubt, a few surprises throughout the night.
