Forget the 21st Century and instead head back to the 1950s like Katha and Ryu. The Humana Festival and Actors Theatre will open Maple and Vine tonight.
The opening performance for Maple and Vine is tonight at 7:30 p.m. Performances will run at various days and times between tonight and April 3. All shows will go on in the Bingham Theatre inside Actors Theatre, located at 316 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
All ticket prices vary by show and seat, and information can be found on the Actors Theatre website or by calling the box office at 502-584-1205.
Maple and Vine features Katha and Ryu, who have tired of their present0-day lives. After meeting a group of 1950s reenactors, the duo gives up much of the comforts of present day (including cell phones and sushi). As they become accustomed to a "new" style of living, Katha and Ryu will learn more than they ever iimagined about happiness.
During Maple and Vine's run, the Humana Festival is also presenting A Devil at Noon. Elemeno Pea, meanwhile, will open on Tuesday. More information on the Humana Festival can be found at the Actors Theatre website.
