There is an old Native American legend that says if you have a secret wish, capture a butterfly, whisper your wish to it and it will keep your secret safe.
I don’t know if that is true or not but what I do know is that there is just something beautiful, something graceful, something almost otherworldly about the butterfly.
If you and your little ones also find the butterfly to be quite the intriguing creature, you won’t want to miss the Bugs and Butterflies Flutterby Party this Sunday, November 4, at The Louisville Science Center, from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Hosted by The Louisville Science Center and 102.3 the MAX, there will be activities such as:
Entomologist Susan Reigler will be available to chat and answer questions at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the Tech Forum.
The IMAX film, Flight of the Butterflies, will be showing at 3:00 p.m.
Have a set of antenna or wings? Wear them and get $5 off an exhibit/IMAX combo ticket.
It's always a good day when butterfly wings can be worn.
