Shelby County's finest young actors take the stage in Mulan Jr., now playing at Shelby County Community Theatre.
Mulan Jr. will take place on Sept. 16, 17, 23, and 24 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinee shows will run on Sept. 18 and 25 at 2:30 p.m. All performances will go on at the Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 Main Street
in Shelbyville, KY.
Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for students. Due to limited seating, reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 502-633-0242.
Mulan Jr. features a young woman who sets out to take the place of her ailing father in battle in China. She must keep her identity hidden or face consequences. The performance, based on the Disney classic, will be performed by Shelby County actors of 7-14 years of age.
Following Mulan Jr., Shelby County Community Theatre will present Night Mother. The production opens on Oct. 7. More information can be found at the Shelby County Community Theatre
