Even love can turn a con artist good, or can it?  Centerstage will present The Music Man beginning tonight.

The Music Man performances will take place on March 10, 12, 17, 19, 21, 24, and 26 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A show on March 20 will go on at 7 p.m.  Matinee shows, meanwhile, will occur on March 13, 20, and 27 at 2 p.m. each day.  All shows will be performed at the Jewish Community Center of Louisville, located at 3600 Dutchmans Lane in the Highlands section of Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $18 per person, although group rates are available.  Tickets can be purchased at JCC of Louisville or by calling 502-459-0660.  More information can be found by going to the Centerstage website.

The Music Man features Harold Hill, a con artist who pretends to sell instruments and and uniforms to residents of River City, Iowa, before attempting to escape town with the money collected.

However, Marian Paroo, a town librarian, can tell he's up to something. She also falls in love with him.  Harold also falls in love with Marian.  He hopes to not get caught while also maintaining his love for her.

John Leffert directed The Music Man, which features Johhn Spencer's musical direction and Valerie Hopkins's choreography.

Following The Music Man, Centerstage will present A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.  That production will take place in May.
