Once again, the NEW Lite 106.9 (WVEZ) is doing something… NEW. After handing out tens of thousands of dollars with the Song of the Day Contest over the past two months, the station known for listening at work will celebrate this holiday weekend by REWINDing their playlist.
Starting at 3PM on Friday July 1st and continuing through July 4th, Lite 106.9 will become the destination for “the 80’s and more” with a special REWIND WEEKEND.
“There will be songs played this weekend that haven’t been heard on Louisville radio in close to a decade,” says Cox Media Group Louisville Operations Manager Shane Collins. “We think this will really help push the fun factor up for a memorable summer weekend of backyard BBQ and pool parties.”
In addition to playing songs from folks as varied as Janet Jackson, Flock of Seagulls and U2, the station will spread the REWIND WEEKEND to their Facebook page.
“Follow along all weekend for a little reminder of the days when MTV played music videos,” teases Collins.
More details can be found online at the station website, Lite1069.com.
