Let me just warn you, Marcos and Wendy Mendoza are probably the most gorgeous couple you will ever meet. Marcos is the amazing designer. Wendy is a yoga master. And now, they've brought their talents and charm to the NuLu neighborhood.
The Mendoza's have been hard at work on E Washington St., remodeling the new home of their business ventures, WE Yoga and Buena Vista Construction. I was able to get an early sneak peak of the space, and let me tell you, it is fabulous!
The complete renovation was done by Marcos' remodeling company, Buena Vista Construction, which now has its offices and showroom on the first floor. The showroom is packed with custom furniture by Marcos. He takes vintage architectural pieces from around the world, adds his finishing touches, and Viola!, unique pieces of furniture come to life. Here's the kicker, his items are beautiful and reasonably priced! I'll admit, I was tempted to take a few things home.
WE Yoga by Wendy has the entire second floor, including a yoga studio and the most luxurious locker room you've ever seen. I could spend days it that locker room - huge private changing rooms, slate-tiled private shower, stone sinks, standalone foot shower. You'll never want to leave, seriously. I scored a free yoga pass while I was there, so I'll be back next week for sure!
You can check it out for yourself at their Grand Opening open house this Saturday night. Keeping with the neighborhood, the Mendozas have enlisted fellow NuLu neighbors Cake Flour, Wiltshire Pantry, and Mayan Cafe to cater the event. (Yum!) I think they are planning to hand out some passes for free yoga sessions, too. See you there!
