    Language, love, and monkeys attempting Hamlet are featured in the Little Colonel Playhouse production of One Acts this weekend.

    One Acts will take to the Little Colonel stage on Nov. 4, 5, 6, 12, and 13 at 8 p.m. each night.  Matinee performances occur on Nov. 7 and 14 at 2:30 p.m. each day.  All performances will take place at the Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mt. Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.  

    Tickets for One Acts are $15 for adults, $12 for students, and $12 for seniors 60 years of age and over.  Dinner, on the opening night performance only, will be an additional $18.  Tickets can be reserved by calling 288-1557.  More information can be found by going to the Little Colonel Playhouse website.  

    David Ives's One Acts will feature four one-act plays related to how humans communicate with each other despite issues and conflicts.  Words, Words, Words will deal with monkeys, typewriters, and Hamlet. The Universal Language shows Dawn and Don exploring language and love despite a stutter and use of a strange language.

    Meanwhile, Ancient History features Ruth and Jack dealing with changes in their relationship during the discussion of marriage. Finally, English Made Simple looks at a romantically attracted man and woman trying to get beyond party talk.

    Following One Acts will be the production of Deathtrap.  Auditions for the show will occur on Nov. 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. each night.
