There’s been a lot of recent chatter about “Lady O.” Everywhere you look, Oprah Winfrey’s TV show finale is making headlines. Her 25-year-long reign as host of The Oprah Winfrey Show officially ended yesterday when the finale of the show was taped. The finale is scheduled to air today.
Although Louisville and its locals didn’t have much affiliation with the finale, WHAS11 wanted in on the Oprah news. They dug deep to find the optimal Louisville connection. The end result: one of the hundreds of recipients of the Oprah Winfrey Scholarship is a Manual High School graduate. Oprah was lucky enough to be graced with his short-lived on-stage presence at the finale.
However, one story wasn’t enough for our local ABC affiliate. It’s got nothing to do with Louisville, but they whipped up a story about how Oprah focuses on her fans during the finale.
Stay classy, Louisville.
