The Kentucky State Senate got an unexpected present from Paula, the African Blackfooted penguin, today during a vote regarding the local aquarium where Paula currently lives.

According to Gawker, 

Senate President David Williams reported interrupted a colleague's speech to announce, "The penguin... just defecated on the floor."

 

"Actually, senator, I believe that's your desk," the speaker replied.
