Keep in mind Phantom Band does contain mature language and situations.

Art created from the chaos that is high school forms the center of Phantom Band, A high school student brings together a group of people from opposite areas of the high school scene (a la Breakfast Club) to form a marching band.  The band is falling apart just as an unusual violinist/exchange student shows up.  High school issues and a sense of humor are also thrown into the mix.

Krista Knight created the production, and following the Nov. 12 matinee show, Knight will be part of a free talkback and reception.  Complimentary desserts and coffee will be provided.

Alec Volz, meanwhile, directed Phantom Band.

Phantom Band is a part of Walden Theatre's Slant Culture Series, which is aimed at presenting works from emerging playwrights.  The works allow the Walden Theatre students to draw from their personal experiences to bring the characters to life on stage. .

Walden Theatre will return in 2012 with performances of Julius Caesar in January.  More information on the Walden Theatre season can be found at its website.
